Home and Away returns tonight on Seven

Who will survive the trainwreck horror?

Summer Bay is plunged into chaos when Home and Away returns to screens tonight at 7.00pm on Seven and 7plus, picking up immediately after last year’s jaw-dropping season final.

In one of the most dramatic cliffhangers in Home and Away’s 38-year history, multiple lives were left hanging in the balance over the summer break after the party train transporting several of the Bay’s residents to a music festival in Broken Hill derailed inside a tunnel.

Among the passengers caught in the chaos were Justin (James Stewart), Mackenzie (Emily Weir), Remi (Adam Rowland), Abigail (Hailey Pinto), Dana (Ally Harris), Sonny (Ryan Bown), Lacey (Sophea Pennington), Jo (Maddison Brown) and Eddie (Stephen Madsen). Who will make it home to the Bay?

When Home and Away returns tonight, rescue operations are in full swing as authorities race to save those trapped in the wreckage. With the structure of the train threatening to collapse, every second is critical. David (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor), Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), Levi (Tristan Gorey) and Tane (Ethan Browne) are all at the crash site, navigating the chaos and carnage in a frantic bid to save lives – with their own loved ones still trapped on the derailed train.

As time runs out, Tane takes matters into his own hands, defying police orders to enter the tunnel and rush to the aid of those still trapped. Will his heroic actions come at a tragic cost?

Plus, 2026 will also see the highly anticipated return of fan favourites Brax (Stephen Peacocke) and Ricky (Bonnie Sveen), who are back on screen soon for Home and Away’s upcoming Western Australia event, made in partnership with Tourism Western Australia.

Get ready for one of the biggest years in Summer Bay history.
