Double dose of laughter

St. Denis Medical returns for Season 2, dropping 27 January exclusive to Seven & 7plus

Hilarious mocumentary series St. Denis Medical is back for its second season, streaming from 6.00pm on Tuesday, 27 January, on 7plus and at 10.30pm on Seven.

Set inside an underfunded and understaffed Oregon hospital, St. Denis Medical follows a team of devoted doctors and nurses who do their best to care for patients while barely holding their own lives together, led by hospital administrator Joyce (Wendi McLendon-Covey).

The new season sees a generous private donation give Joyce a taste of ambition and she quickly bites off more than she can chew, while her exhausted staff navigate worsening shortages, workplace conflicts and their own complicated personal lives.

The double episode season premiere sees Alex struggling to hold onto her peaceful vacation mindset, while Joyce faces a design crisis in the hospital’s birthing centre.

Matt and Serena are forced to reassess their working relationship, before chaos erupts when Bruce is attacked at the hospital. As Matt helps Bruce deal with the aftermath, Alex urges Joyce to increase security, while Ron and Serena debate who is truly more qualified to defend themselves.

St. Denis Medical stars Australian actor Josh Lawson, Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi.

The series is led by showrunner and executive producer Eric Ledgin, with Justin Spitzer, Simon Heuer, Ruben Fleischer, Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu also serving as executive producers.
